Come relax in our 2nd home - with the bay at your feet and the beach around the corner... Activities, shopping and restaurants all around. Located at Bethany, but easily accessible (between) Lewis/Rehoboth/Dewey and OC/Fenwick. This is not your typical beach rental - Sagers is brand new, furnishings too! Sagers is newly built in late 2020 AND has views of The Indian River Bay from every direction. Staying here you get the best of both worlds - activities we have available to you include swimming (Memorial to Labor Day and per management), kayaking on the bay, riding bicycles through the parks, beaches and lakes nearby or, of course, heading a short 3.5 miles to the Bethany Boardwalk. If you would prefer a relaxing time on the bay, The Sandy Cove Community features a large private bay-front sandy beach for relaxing, sunning, gazebo, swimming and fishing... it's especially a favorite for neighborhood pooches! Our home is very relaxing and warm, but it is also loads of fun. With 4 flat-screen TV's including one in the game/movie room... you can enjoy a card game on the poker table, some foosball or air hockey - books and games provided! It's fun for the whole family, indoors and out. We guarantee you’ll have an amazing experience and you'll be sad to leave.
WE'VE GOT IT ALL!
- 3 bedrooms, including 1 king, 1 queen and a bunkbed room that has 1 double and 3 twins. In addition, the rec room has a pull out couch!

- We rent year round - Do not count out the beauty of the beach during the winter months! Prices vary... summer months are weekly rentals only, Friday to Friday for convenience (and hopefully less traffic)!

We had a wonderful getaway in the Carr's Sandy Cove home. We could not have asked for a more beautiful or comfortable home. The Carrs provided everything a vacation renter could want. Gourmet kitchen, comfortable living and sleeping spaces, game room and entertainment, and it was super clean!
The kitchen is well-stocked, and a new grill made cooking easy and enjoyable.
The townhome is a short walk to a private beach on the Indian River inlet. Views provide stunning sunsets and an abundance in wildlife. We saw ospreys, a great blue heron and horseshoe crabs on our daily walks.
The Carrs have provided all sorts of entertainment, if the beach and bay are not enough! Bicycles, kayaks, air hockey, foosball, and excellent electronics. Don't bring beach chairs! They provide chairs, umbrellas and beach carts for use too.
The location is wonderful, just a short drive to the Bethany boardwalk and other beach access points. Several grocery stores are within a 10 minute drive, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
We hope renters enjoy their stay as much as we did!

Our beach vacation at Sandy Cove was amazing!
The private beach on the property was wonderful – our kids loved searching for horseshoe crabs, and our pup enjoyed her first swim and roll in the sand. The outdoor shower was perfect for washing off, and the sunsets were stunning!
We enjoyed exploring Bethany Beach and Indian River Bay Beach – both close to Sandy Cove. It was such a convenience to have the beach cart, umbrella & chairs provided. The community pool was also a big hit and was never crowded.
Our kids loved kayaking for the first time – we had so much to do that we didn’t even get to use the SUP’s or bikes on this trip! We had one rainy day and spent most of it in the game room having family air hockey, foosball and poker tournaments. At night, my husband and I relaxed with a drink on the deck off the master bedroom, in the most comfortable reclining chairs!
We had groceries delivered upon our arrival from Harris Teeter. Although we were not familiar with the Bethany area, the Carr’s provided all the information we needed on restaurants. Some of our local family favorites were: Sandy Pony Donuts, Sunshine Crepes, Rosenfeld’s Jewish Delicatessen, pizza from DiFebo’s Market, and Bonkey’s ice cream.
Unlike other rentals, the Carr’s provided every comfort, including a Keurig, a stocked kitchen, and so many other amenities. We could have easily spent another week there, and we certainly could have fit another family of four in with us comfortably. Sandy Cove is by far the nicest beach rental we have ever stayed in, and Rachel was absolutely wonderful to work with!

We enjoyed our vacation so much. Â The house was absolutely gorgeous, quiet and spotless. Â We had everything we needed; beach chairs, a perfectly stocked kitchen, games for the kids, comfortable beds. Â We often found ourselves alone on the beach, fishing pier and sometimes even at the pool. Â People in the community were also super friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous the place was, the minimalist straight lined decor was beautiful and the house was super clean. It felt like a vacation from the time we stepped into the foyer. The rec room was a hit with the games, the garage was neatly packed with kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. Kitchen was fully stocked. Decks on all levels, main deck off the living room was where we did breakfast and dinner at times, it had beautiful views of the water.
I can't emphazise enough as to what an amazing experience we had. I had 5 teenage boys and days were filled with paddleboarding, kayaking, on rainy days the boys entertained themselves with games or just hanging out on the deck. Family who rented nearby stopped over for dinner one night and loved the place. They plan on renting Rachel and Scott's house in the near future.

Our family loved Sagers at Sandy Cove so much we visited for a week in August and came back again in early October. It's a brand new, beautifully designed home.
The rental is in a cute little quiet neighborhood right on the bay. There's a beautiful small private beach area that was perfect for the two year old and 9mo old in our family to play.
Major perks to this rental were how clean it was both times and how many cooking supplies were available in the kitchen! We love cooking family meals to share on vacation. During the summer the pool was a great option for super hot days. We even had dinner by the pool one night. We also used the kayaks and paddle boards provided by the rental on the bay both visits. So fun!
Bethany Beach is 4mi away and easily accessible from Fred Hudson. A very quick trip that we did most days.

Sagers @ Sandy Cove was the perfect rental for our family. The house was clean upon arrival and had all the amenities one could ever ask for. We were able to spread out when we wanted into our own bedrooms – but the house also has great space when you all want to be together whether in the kitchen, family room or rec room. The house is great for all ages – my 7 year old son loved the rec room with all it had to offer and my 65 year old mother in law loved sitting on the balcony in peace reading a book.
We enjoyed the pool on more than one occasion – there were other families there but it never seemed overcrowded. We enjoyed the walking paths and the views of the water. It is so nice that the house is equipped with paddle boards, kayaks and bikes – we will definitely use those the next time we rent the house!
The house is just a quick drive to the big chill beach (which we were made aware of from Rachel and Scott!) and to the Bethany Beach boardwalk. We were in Bethany during a busy week and never had a problem with parking. It was great that prior to our arrival Rachel provided a suggested list of restaurants to get reservations at so we never had a wait.
